Welcome to Dream Self. By downloading or using this app, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them — they're written to be clear, not to bury you in legalese.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dream Self ("the app", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. We may update these Terms from time to time — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. What Dream Self Is

Dream Self is a personal vision board and goal-tracking app that helps you clarify, visualize, and take action toward your dreams. Features include:

• Creating and managing personal visions with steps, photos, and notes
• Writing manifestos and reflections
• AI-powered "Future Me" image generation
• Daily Spark push notifications to keep you moving forward

The app is designed for personal use only. It is not a substitute for professional advice — financial, medical, psychological, or otherwise.

3. Your Account

To use Dream Self, you need to create an account. You can sign in with Apple, Google, or email and password. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your account credentials secure
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Providing accurate information when creating your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Dream Self. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

4. Your Content

You own the content you create in Dream Self — your visions, notes, manifestos, and photos are yours. By using the app, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it for advertising or training AI models.

You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate the rights of others or applicable laws.

5. AI Features

Dream Self's "Future Me" feature uses Google's Gemini API to generate AI images based on photos and descriptions you provide. By using this feature:

• You confirm you have the right to share any photos you upload
• You understand that AI-generated images are for personal inspiration only and may not accurately represent real-world outcomes
• You agree that reference photos are transmitted to Google's API for processing and are not stored on our servers after generation

AI-generated images are subject to Google's Terms of Service. Generated images may not be used in ways that violate those terms.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Dream Self to:

• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, hateful, or violates the rights of others
• Attempt to access or interfere with other users' data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or abuse the service
• Impersonate any person or entity

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Dream Self offers optional paid features. Subscription terms, pricing, and billing are managed through Apple's App Store. By subscribing:

• Payments are processed and managed by Apple
• Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policies

We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

8. Intellectual Property

Dream Self and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the app without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

Dream Self is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your dreams will be achieved. The app is a tool to support your journey — the results depend on your own actions.

We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI-generated content. AI images are creative visualizations, not predictions.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dream Self and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first; if unresolved, through binding arbitration or a court of competent jurisdiction.
